The Good Place to Live
Last updated: 12 October 2026
The Good Place to Live ("TGPTL", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit thegoodplacetolive.com, contact us, subscribe to our mailing list or request a property brochure — including through our ads on Instagram and Facebook — and how we use and protect it, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation, the Data Protection Act 2018 and, for people in the European Union, the EU GDPR.
1. Who we are
The data controller is THE GOOD PLACE TO LIVE LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 16426739), with registered office at 18 Holly Road, Farnborough, Hampshire, GU14 0EA, United Kingdom. We are registered as a data controller with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number ZB998783.
Our representative in the European Union (GDPR art. 27) is Dupuis Immobili S.R.L., Via Alfonso Lamarmora 8, 13900 Biella, Italy. You can write to our representative at that address, or by email to info@thegoodplacetolive.com with the subject "EU Representative".
For any privacy question or request, write to info@thegoodplacetolive.com or call +44 7706 910346 (UK)
2. What data we collect
We only collect the data you choose to give us, plus basic technical data from your visit.
Brochure and property request forms (on our website, Instagram or Facebook): your name and email and, if you choose to give them, your phone number, the property you are interested in and your buying timeline.
Contact form, email, phone or WhatsApp: your name, your contact details and anything you write in your message.
Mailing list: your email address.
Visits to our website: your IP address, browser and device type and the pages you visit, collected through cookies (see section 8).
When you fill in a form on Instagram or Facebook, Meta may pre-fill it with the name and email from your account. You can edit them before sending, and nothing is shared with us until you press submit.
We do not ask for sensitive data, and we ask you not to send it.
3. Why we use your data
We use your data for the following purposes, each with its legal basis under the UK and EU GDPR (art. 6):
To send you the brochure, floor plans or prices you requested and to follow up personally on your enquiry. Legal basis: steps you asked us to take before a possible contract (art. 6.1.b).
To send you our newsletter and news about other properties. Legal basis: your consent (art. 6.1.a), which you can withdraw at any time.
To run and improve our website and measure how our ads perform. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f), and your consent where cookies require it.
To meet legal, tax and anti-money-laundering obligations if a purchase goes ahead. Legal basis: legal obligation (art. 6.1.c).
We never sell your data. We do not use it for automated decisions or profiling that affects you.
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and you can also simply reply asking us to stop.
4. Who we share it with
The developer or seller of the property you ask about (for example the sales team of Cipriani Resort, Residences & Casino Punta del Este), only when this is needed to answer your request or arrange a visit, and only after telling you.
Our partner advisors in other countries, when you ask about a property in their area.
Service providers that work for us under contract and only on our instructions: Squarespace (website and mailing list), Meta Platforms (Instagram and Facebook forms and ads) and Google (email, documents and spam protection on our forms).
Notaries, lawyers and authorities, when a purchase or the law requires it.
5. International transfers
We are based in the United Kingdom, and some of our partners and providers are in the European Union, the United States or Uruguay. The UK and the EU recognise each other as offering adequate protection, and both recognise Uruguay. For transfers to the United States we rely on the UK-US Data Bridge, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiries and brochure requests: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a client.
Mailing list: until you unsubscribe.
Client and transaction records: for as long as UK tax and company law requires, usually 6 years after the end of the financial year.
7. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, to receive it in a portable format, or to withdraw your consent. Write to info@thegoodplacetolive.com and we will reply within one month.
If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. If you live in the European Union, you can also complain to the data protection authority of your country — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
8. Cookies
Our website uses technical cookies that it needs to work, and — only with your consent — analytics and advertising cookies, including the Meta Pixel, to measure visits and ad results. You can accept or refuse them in the cookie banner and change your choice at any time in your browser settings.
9. Children
Our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
